The day kicked off bright and early at 5:00 a.m. in the dark, empty parking lot of Rhodes Shopping Centre. After what felt like an endless circle of searching, we finally tracked down a friendly security guard who graciously opened the gate and guided us up to the rooftop.
Before long, the scene was bustling with multiple cars filled with production teams, makeup artists, and our talented dancers. Despite it being the middle of winter, everyone braved the chilly air, wrapped up in layers to keep warm. The makeup artists got busy turning our talented stars into camera-ready beauties, while the crew worked their magic setting up the shoot.
As the sun began to rise, the dancers emerged one by one to showcase their solo performances. The crisp morning air was so cold it made steam puff from their mouths as they danced with all their might. It was a chilly start, but the energy and excitement made it all worth it!
With the entire rooftop of the shopping center all to ourselves, our talented performers truly made the most of the space. Nicola stole the show, using a shopping trolley bay as her stage. She weaved and ducked through the rails with such flair, transforming an ordinary set of shopping trolleys into her own dance apparatus and owning every moment!
Meanwhile, Max took full advantage of the wide-open rooftop, showcasing his incredible breakdancing skills. With legs swerving and kicking effortlessly through the air, he demonstrated pure mastery and upper body strength. It was a performance that left us all in awe—no effort visible, just pure, jaw-dropping talent!
Samantha, Mia, and Kim were absolutely brilliant as they delivered an amazing choreography perfectly timed to our Upstage launch song. Their performance was bursting with passion, and their synchronization was flawless. Watching them move in harmony, each step and gesture seamlessly aligned, truly showcased their incredible chemistry and dedication. It was a spectacular highlight that added a touch of magic to the entire shoot!
After a long, hard day of shooting, the sun finally came out and warmed us all up, lifting everyone's spirits. The entire crew and dancers were buzzing with joy, knowing that their tireless efforts had paid off.
